The former Sixth Street Generating Station is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The generating station did not operate after June 2008 due to a catastrophic flood. The generating station was demolished in 2015.

The Sixth Street Generating Station produced CCR that was managed on site while the coal-fired units were in operation. As such, the applicability of new federal CCR Rules for coal-fired power plants that retired prior to October 2015 is currently under evaluation.
